Farm Stay in Gotemba City
Gotemba City is located at the foot of Mt. Fuji. Thanks to abundant crystal-clear water from Mt. Fuji, the city has a vast agricultural field in its countryside, especially, rice has been well-known and branded as “Gotemba Koshi-hikari”
Gotemba is such an idyllic city blessed with pure water and fertile land and with a peaceful tranquility at night. Now, in some villages in Gotemba, farmers are willing to have guests from abroad and are happy to enjoy harvesting and cooking with them just to make a small but drastic change from their daily life. But please mind, what they are wanting is not just a “guest”, but a “member of the family” who spend some time with them as a part of their lives. You may experience walking around, shopping, sometimes kimono, dishwashing and drinking with them, not to mention harvesting and cooking. Please enjoy one-day local life with local families.
※There are several families in the village and you will not be able to know about in which family you will stay until booking is confirmed.
In case of private tour・・・Families can pick up, or drop off at Gotemba Station with their car.
In case of group tour・・・Bus or taxi arrival address will be informed in advance. Families will be there to pick up their guests and to take them home.
What you are expecting
Harvesting・・・You will harvest seasonal vegetables.
※Vegetables are supposed to be harvestable throughout the year but due to the climate condition, it may not be promised.
Cooking・・・You are expected to cook dinner with the family using harvested vegetables. In case you don’t like it, please be honest and tell them so.
Family interaction・・・Families are planning some activities to enjoy with you. i.e. shopping, hiking, kimono wearing, sweets making, and sometimes onsen.

Soba making experience available upon request with extra fee. You can enjoy Soba at dinner or at breakfast. ※ Booking necessary in advance
